The Stars Mail
A community art project that took place in the Ramat Eliyahu neighborhood
For two years, in collaboration with the artist Anat Dreamer. Once a week we dressed up as postmen and delivered letters between the residents of the neighborhood. The format is as follows: we knock on a stranger's door, ask him to write an anonymous letter with a personal question he has about his life. He drops the letter into the mailbox
we carry on our backs, and writes out another address in the neighborhood. We march to the chosen destination, knock on the door, and ask for an answer. After writing the answer to the recipient - he also has the opportunity to ask a question about his life and write a new address.
This is how we go from house to house, passing anonymous letters of questions and answers between the residents of the neighborhood and creating intimate and temporary meetings between neighbors, as a mission.
